Arsenal management want David Seaman to be more involved with their coaching.

The Daily Star says Arsenal have invited club legend Seaman to work with their academy keepers.

The call to the former England stopper comes after he helped new Emirates number one Aaron Ramsdale settle in following his £30million arrival from Sheffield United in August.

Ramsdale, 23, spent the best part of a week with Seaman in preparation for the 2020-21 season.

And those successful sessions, which were initiated by Ramsdale, have prompted Arsenal to get Seaman back to assist with the development of their academy keepers.

A source said: “David went and did three or four days with Aaron - and the club are now asking him to do the same with some of the junior goalkeepers."

That news underlines current manager Mikel Arteta's willingness to utilise past Arsenal stars to compliment his own backroom team.

Ex-Gunners midfielder Jack Wilshere, 29, has been doing his coaching badges at the club this term with the Under-23s.
