Man Utd boss Rangnick wants 'tall' centre-midfielder to replace Matic
Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick wants to sign a tall midfielder in the January transfer window.
The Red Devils have identified central midfield as their weakest area.
According to The Athletic, Rangnick wants a taller central midfielder who can replace Nemanja Matic, given the latter's age.
Any newcomer would add much needed competition in United's engine room, where Fred and Scott McTominay are often first choice.
Rangnick is an admirer of Declan Rice, but such a move appears unlikely in January.
