Barcelona hope to announce the signing of Manchester City attacker Ferran Torres next week.
Mundo Deportivo says Barca have had an offer accepted by City worth €55m plus a further €10m in bonuses. Torres' minders also reached terms with Barca several weeks ago.
As such, Torres will arrive as Xavi's first signing since becoming Barca coach.
Barca are happy to take Torres while he is recovering from a foot injury. There's a belief the attacker will be available for his debut after the January 19 Super Copa clash with Rayo Vallecano.
Eric Garcia and Sergio Aguero both left City for Barca last summer.
