You’ve probably saved a few New Year captions under your sleeves, waiting for the perfect time and moment to post them. All you need to do now is to wait for your clock to hit 00.00 AM on the 1st of January, and you can post all the new year’s resolution quotes that you’ve been saving.

But do you know what could’ve emphasized your captions and quotes better other than just posting them at the right timing? Yes, you’ve guessed it! Firework pictures or videos! And if you haven’t had the slightest idea on where to go or which areas have the nicest view to capture the flashing city of Kuala Lumpur, worry not! I’ve got you covered.

KLCC Park

If there’s one place where you can capture pictures or videos of a firework up close during New Year, it’s the KLCC Park. Without a doubt, this is the best possible place that you can go to capture a fantastic fireworks picture in Kuala Lumpur. The KLCC Park gets really busy at night during New Year’s Eve, so it’s best for you to arrive early and secure yourself a comfortable spot.

Merdeka Square

The Merdeka Square is another hot spot known to have the best firework views during New Year. The spectacular sight of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building and the lush green park at the Merdeka, along with the fireworks during New Year, will definitely be Insta-worthy!

Bukit Bintang

Nothing beats the heart of Kuala Lumpur when it comes to counting down to a brand-new start. The streets of Bukit Bintang have numerous bars, pubs, and restaurants for you to enjoy your last night before a new year. If you’re a foodie, you can definitely say, “I’ve been eating across the year” while you’re dining and celebrating this wonderful event. Aside from that, there’s also a huge crowd outside of the Pavilion Mall waiting to count the year down! Why? Because the Pavilion Mall, along with the streets of Bukit Bintang, are one of the hot spots for you to catch the fireworks display!

Ampang Lookout Point, Bukit Permai

I don’t really want to share this hidden gem of mine, but after all the hardship we’ve gone through together as citizens of Malaysia, you deserve to know this spot. The Ampang Lookout Point on Bukit Permai, also known as the ‘Little Genting’, is nestled near a housing area. “Hmmm, then what’s so special about it?” Well, let’s just say that this is one of the sweet spots for a panoramic view of the Kuala Lumpur city outside of Kuala Lumpur itself. And without saying, you’ll get to enjoy the fireworks over the KLCC Twin Tower if you’re standing on the hilltop of Little Genting.

Let’s Hope For A Better Year

Now that you’ve known all these locations, it’s time to start planning the last day of 2021 and make it worthwhile for you and those who are close to your heart. However, remember to have some social distancing when you’re attending these places as the coronaviruses are still at large.

Last but not least, I want to wish everyone who’s reading this a Happy New Year, and instead of ‘2020 too’, let’s make the best out of the New Year to come. Cheers to a fantastic year ahead!
