West Ham boss David Moyes insists defeat at home to Southampton was undeserved.
The Irons lost 2-3 on Sunday night.
Moyes later said, "Wasn't our day we had an off day. Started very flat and we got better but it wasn't good enough in the end. The opportunities at the start that we gave Southampton really cost us later on.
"We had to try something at half time, we had been really poor in the first half, maybe as poor as we've ever been this season. We lacked energy which is not normally the case for us. We looked better after that and deservedly got back in the game.
"You have periods you have to find a way of getting out of and we have to do that now and get back to winning ways. We have been pretty consistent in our form over the last 18 months to two years so let's hope we can get back to that.
"We'd like to do some business but it doesn't always work that way, we have some ideas in our head but there's no guarantee we can make that happen - but we will try."
