Everton winger Demarai Gray believes they only need one or two wins in a row to turn their form around.
The youngster, who was signed in the summer by manager Rafa Benitez, reflected on a poor 4-1 loss at home to Liverpool on Wednesday.
The result leaves Everton in 14th spot, which is a far cry from their expectations in pre-season.
Asked if they are in a relegation battle, he told Amazon: "No - we had a great start to the season. It only takes one game just to turn it around we have a lot of games over this Christmas period and hopefully we can get a win and some momentum and get some more wins."
He added: "Mistakes have let us down and giving away easy goals - something we have to work on and fix."
Gray finished on manager Benitez being to blame: "That's how it is [manager gets the blame] but as players we have to take accountability - we are the ones on the pitch, we have to do things better. We're a good squad, we've had a few injuries but don't want to use that as an excuse. We just need to get a win and focus on pushing on from there."
