Former Chelsea and Arsenal defender William Gallas has urged Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to focus on his game in the coming weeks and months.
The Gabon striker has been stripped of the captaincy by the Gunners after another disciplinary breach over the weekend.
Aubameyang fell foul of club rules ahead of Saturday's Premier League clash against Southampton, which the Gunners went on to win.
Gallas, who also lost the captaincy in 2008 at the club, said the following to Genting Casino: "I didn't accept it at the beginning, because it was not for the right reason. It's difficult for me.
"That's why it was difficult for me to accept it."
He added on Aubameyang: "You have to say, 'OK. The club and the coach, took that decision, and I have to find everything to refocus myself,' and that is what I did."
