Kota Kinabalu: Nine passengers including five children were rescued after their boat capsized near the Semporna tour jetty this morning.
The passengers, comprising two boys, three girls, two men and and two women, were rescued by Fire and Rescue personnel and members of the public according to the department's update.
The mishap occurred about 50 metres from the jetty when the boat was heading towards Kg Bangau Bangau.
No injuries were reported in the rescue operation which concluded at 10.39am.
