Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta admits his side must get over their red card woes if they are to succeed this season.
The Gunners were humbled 2-0 in the Carabao Cup semi final second leg by Liverpool.
After an impressive 0-0 draw at Anfield, Arsenal could not produce enough cutting edge to go through in the second leg at home on Thursday.
Thomas Partey got a red card for two yellows in the contest, after having come on from the substitutes bench.
Arteta said, per the club website: "It is a big loss and we have to learn from that.
"We have played the last three games with ten men and against top sides you can't do that because we are completely exposed.
"It's difficult enough to beat them, but with ten men it becomes a real challenge and it's not what we need with the amount of players we have out, not to have him available."
