Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says he's happy to play his kids if senior absences demand it.
The Catalan revealed some of those ruled out against Swindon are now back in training, but, keen to fulfil their fixtures, he says he has full faith in the young players who would be required to play in the absence of recognised first team stars.
“We try to play, if we have 11 or 12, we play," Guardiola explained at his pre-match press conference.
“We have Cole Palmer, we have (James) McAtee and others who can play. We never ask [to postpone] because we have enough players.
“And I don't know how it is counted, is it just Covid or is it injuries? All the time they happen so I don't know the standards or the rule about the Premier League when it's called off or cancelled for which reason.
“But in many cases, we have just 12 players available in the first team with the keeper and we play."
