Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun has assured the public that the situation is under control despite the sharp rise and fall in coronavirus cases as of late which raise concern among the public.
“The current Covid-19 situation in Sabah is stable. The sudden fluctuation in the daily caseload is greatly influenced by the emergence of new clusters over time," he said in a statement tonight.
“But whatever the figures are, the consistent statistics is that over 98 per cent of all new cases are in categories one and two.
“Vaccination has significantly reduced the number of serious Covid-19 infections and this has significantly reduced the number of patients who need to be hospitalised for treatment."
