TONGOD: The Tongod District Welfare Services Office is seeking the public’s help in locating the family or relatives of seven-year-old Chynie Doricalyn.

Tongod Welfare Officer, Arnold Gongora, is urging anyone who knows the girl’s family or next of kin to contact the Tongod Welfare Office or him at 013-5453400.

Since February 2017, the child has been in the care of a married couple. The girl was three years old when her grandmother, [email protected], turned her over to the couple in the Tamu Lamag area in Kinabatangan on Feb 15, 2017.

The pair explained that the elder woman needed to attend to important personal matters and asked them to look after the girl.

The woman, on the other hand, did not return.

In their effort to locate the child’s relatives, the pair has filed a police report on child neglect.
