Arsenal defender Pablo Mari is weighing up a return to Brazil.

Mari is considering his future away from Arsenal after struggling to nail down a starting spot in Mikel Arteta's side, says Football.London.

The Spaniard started in the Gunners' first two Premier League games this season – two 2-0 defeats by Brentford and Chelsea – before last featuring in a 3-0 Carabao Cup win over Wimbledon back in September.

Unfortunately for Mari, that was his last appearance for the club and has since fallen out of favour and down the pecking order behind Ben White and Gabriel Magalhaes, being reduced to cup appearances.

He is attracting interest from former club Flamengo, who are interested in taking him back on loan.

Having made just three appearances in all competitions this season, Mari will weigh up his options and look at a move away from the Emirates in the January transfer window.
