Kota Kinabalu: Former Sabah and Sarawak chief judge Tan Sri Mohamad Jemuri Serjan died today in Sarawak aged 92 according to a report.

He passed away at 8.30am at the Normah Medical Specialist Centre in Kuching and will be laid to rest this afternoon at a cemetery in Gita also in the state's capital.

Jemuri was appointed as the Chief Justice of Borneo in March 1991 and retired from the post in September 1994.

Born on Sept 10, 1929, Jemuri had four siblings and had never married according to a close family member.
