Hosts Cameroon secured a 2-1 win over Burkino Faso in the opening game of the 2021 African Cup of Nations.

Gustavo Sangare's fantastic volley put the Burkinabe ahead midway through the first half in Yaounde.

However, two unerring penalties from captain Vincent Aboubakar turned the game around for the Indomitable Lions before half-time.

Cameroon goalkeeper Andre Onana was immense for the home side as he pulled off two crucial saves in the second half.

Toni Conceicao's team will play Ethiopia in their next group game.
