
Sierra Leone were handed a defeat at the hands of Equatorial Guinea in the African Cup of Nations.
Kei Kamara missed a late penalty as the Leone Stars were dumped out of the competition in the group stages.
Pablo Ganet got the only goal of the game for Equatorial Guinea, giving them a birth in the last 16 of the competition.
Sierra Leone's misery was compounded near the end of the game, when midfielder Kwame Quee got a second yellow card and received his marching orders from the referee.
"To come second in this strong group is a real achievement for us," said Equatorial Guinea captain Carlos Akapo, per the Daily Mail.
