Brentford boss Thomas Frank says that Rico Henry came off against Liverpool as a precautionary measure.

The Bees suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Jurgen Klopp's team at Anfield on Sunday.

Henry picked up a dead leg after half time and did not come back out for the second period, which worried fans regarding his long-term fitness.

However, Frank reassured supporters that Henry could even be ready for their game on Wednesday against Manchester United.

"It was more precautionary to take him off. It was planned that he would play 60 minutes, but he got a contact in the first half and we decided it was not worth the risk," Frank told reporters.

"It was fantastic to have him back. He is a big player for us and we don't have anyone else like him. It will be good to have him back and playing more games."
