The Ivorian arrived from Atalanta to huge fanfare in a £25 million deal in January last year, but his opportunities at Old Trafford have been very limited so far.
The 19-year-old has featured just nine times in all competitions for United's senior squad scoring one goal.
This season, Amad played 68 minutes in the 1-1 draw against Young Boys in the Champions League and was an unused sub in the 3-2 win over Arsenal in the Premier League.
