Former Inter Milan defender Daniele Adani has urged the club to rethink their transfer plans.

Inter are on the brink of signing Genoa attacker Felipe Caicedo.

But Adani told La Gazzetta dello Sport: "Caicedo? If it is a request from (coach Simone) Inzaghi, the club must satisfy him. I am less convinced by the willingness to take a left winger.

“Before thinking about hiring someone, you have to keep (Ivan) Perisic. Nobody plays that role like him: he's an attacker, but he runs like a decathlete and covers the whole range for you.

"I don't see anyone who can even be his deputy."
