Recently, a Facebook post by the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM) has garnered quite a lot of humorous response from netizens, for it has appeared that someone in KKM had directly translated plain water (air kosong) to "empty water". The screenshot of that post has since been circulated around social media.

In an official statement, the MoH explained that the distribution of the screenshot did not reflect the original posting of the poster, which was in Bahasa Malaysia and not originally in English. The owner of the original screenshot appeared to have turned their auto-translation text on, which explains the awful direct translation mishap.

"This situation has caused the word plain water to be automatically translated into the word 'empty water' in the user's phone," the statement said. "The MOH hopes that this explanation can correct the misconceptions and confusion that have arisen regarding this issue."

That being said, let's not rely entirely on random screenshots you find on the internet without checking for the source. It'll save you a lot of trouble.
