Tottenham boss Antonio Conte would be happy to hold onto winger Steven Bergwijn this month.
The attacker is being linked with a move away from the club, specifically to Ajax and the Eredivisie.
Bergwijn prefers to play as a wide attacker, while Conte is employing a five-at-the-back formation that places attackers in narrower roles.
However, Conte told reporters on Bergwijn: "Honestly, Bergwijn he knows very well what I think about him. I consider him a player that can play in all three roles, as a number nine and as a number ten as well.
"For sure, in my period at Tottenham, he was injured, he was injured for a long time but I showed him that when he's in a good physical condition, I gave him the chance to show that he's a good player.
"For sure, Bergwijn is a Tottenham player and he's very close to coming back. I think that after the game against Chelsea, he can start having training sessions with us. I count on him, also because he's a player with different characteristics to Sonny, Lucas and then Harry.
"He's very good in one on ones, he's a creative player that we don't have in our squad."
