Kota Kinabalu: After days of increasing daily new Covid-19 cases and worrying new school clusters, Sabah's caseload dropped to 267 and recorded no new groupings of infections today according to an update.

Today's number was 91 cases fewer than yesterday, said the update shared by Sabah's spokesman for the crisis, Datuk Masidi Manjun.

Eight districts saw two-digit new cases with Tuaran topping with 55 new patients.

Sixteen of the new cases were from clusters while almost 17 percent or 45 cases were children below 12 who have not qualified for vaccination.

The advisory also reiterated that the closure of schools with active clusters is a reminder for all stakeholders to take proactive measures to reduce the risk of infection there.
