KUALA LUMPUR – For vehicles damaged in the recent floods that hit Malaysia, Putrajaya will automatically cover repairs for up to RM1,000 per vehicle, according to Finance Minister Datuk Seri Tengku Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz.
This only covers repairs for privately owned motor vehicles such as cars, bikes, pick-up trucks, and vans.
The Keluarga Malaysia vehicle repair discount vouchers, however, can only be redeemed at designated service centres belonging to 19 companies. There is no need to make an application.
This discount will be valid up until March 31, and those who intend to make use of this programme are advised to swiftly redeem their vouchers before the period ends.
These service centres will also offer discounts of at least 25% on repair costs, in addition to free towing services.
Tengku Zafrul said that the companies involved include Perodua, Proton, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Tan Chong Motors, UMW Toyota Motor, Honda Malaysia, Mitsubishi Motors Malaysia, Volvo Cars Malaysia, TC Euro Cars, TC Subaru, Mazda, Peugeot, Kia, Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia, and Sime Darby Motor Group.
Meanwhile, services for motorcycles will be available at Hong Leong Yamaha Motor, Boon Siew Honda, Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional, Mofaz Motorsikal, and KMSB Motors. – The Vibes, January 7, 2022
