Real Madrid wing-back Lucas Vazquez has urged fans to stick with the players.

Vazquez was unhappy hearing whistles from supporters for Karim Benzema during Sunday's 2-2 draw with Elche.

He said, "It was a difficult game, but we come away happy ater coming back from 2-0 down. We showed a lot of spirit and desire to get the win. We created plenty of chances to get the three points, but we were a little short in front of goal. We have to be happy with the draw, considering the way the game went.

"After going 1-0 down, they played their game and looked to waste time. We struggled to find the net, but we can take a lot from the two goals and we'll continue to fight for LaLiga.

“Jeers would be no good for Karim at that point, what we like to see is our fans' applauding. They did just that and it was really great to see. I'm sure he'll put the next one he gets away".
