Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta admits Manchester City are setting the standard this season.

Their draw with Liverpool leaves Chelsea ten points behind Premier League leaders City.

"They are the top team, so the more points we are behind, the more satisfied they will be," said Azpilicueta.

"They have set the standard very high. It is up to us to close the gap, but we also know that they have a lot of quality and that they have played together for a long time.

"We are on the right track, but so far we have not managed to hit the right level in terms of continuity, which is necessary if you want to stay at the top."
