Aston Villa boss Steven Gerrard's hopes of signing Joe Gomez from Liverpool have been dealt a huge blow.
That's because Reds boss Jurgen Klopp has no intention to let the defender leave in this month's transfer window, says Football Insider.
A source from Liverpool revealed that Klopp wants to keep Gomez at the club in order to keep the Reds' defence stocked during the second half of the season.
Aston Villa had aimed to take Gomez on-loan for the remainder of the season.
