PUTATAN: The Sabah State government continues to be committed in caring for the people through various initiatives towards a “people-centric service”.

Minister of Community Development and People’s Welfare, Datuk Ir. Shahelmey Yahya, said this includes the “Homeward” programme which is one of the programmes under the Sabah Maju Jaya Plan.

“Individuals who need treatment from home, we will lend an adjustable bed and other services according to their needs.

“Physiotherapist and home nurse services from the Sabah General Welfare Services Department (JPKA) are also provided according to the patient’s needs according to the advice of a physician.

“The Homeward programme is one of the Sabah Maju Jaya programmes that proves that the Sabah State government cares about the people,” he said after handing over the adjustable bed assistance to one of the recipients.

Shahelmey advised the people who are eligible for the services to contact their respective district welfare officers.

“We will make follow-up action for the comfort of the target group,” he said.
