Jesse Lingard is pushing to leave Manchester United this month.

The Mirror says Lingard finally wants out after more than two decades with his boyhood club as he looks to seal regular first team football, with West Ham a possible destination.

Lingard has not featured for the club since a 1-1 draw against Young Boys on December 8 - just the third time he has played a game under interim boss Ralf Rangnick.

His contract will expire in the summer and become a free agent - meaning West Ham could snap him up on a cut price deal with United keen not to lose him for nothing after starting his career with the club.

West Ham and boss David Moyes are determined to secure a permanent deal for Lingard, the report adds, having failed to snatch him up last summer.
