Kota Kinabalu: Schools that have recorded Covid-19 clusters have been instructed to close with immediate effect to curb the spread of the virus among students, teachers and staff.

State Secretary Datuk Seri Safar Untong said the closure would last for two to three weeks, subject to the State Health Department’s requirements.

“School sessions for students sitting for major examinations can continue to proceed with strict standard operating procedure compliance among students, teachers and staff.”

He said this in a letter addressed to State Education Director Datuk Mistrine Radin dated Thursday.
