Valencia wing-back Daniel Wass is closer to joining Atletico Madrid.
Off contract in June, Wass has agreed personal terms with Atletico, but was left in limbo last week after VCF rejected a €1m offer to take him immediately.
The Dane, as such, was prepared to sit out the remainder of the season.
However, AS says Valencia are now proving more co-operative and a deal is closer to being struck.
It's been agreed Wass will continue to be available for selection until Valencia find a replacement, which will lead them to selling him to Atletico before the January market closes.
