Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk hailed goalscorer Mohamed Salah after their 2-2 draw at Chelsea.
Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah had the visitors 2-0 ahead before Mateo Kovacic and Christian Pulisic hit back for Chelsea.
Van Dijk said, "It was an intense game, end-to-end. Great quality all over the pitch with a fantastic opponent.
"You don't want to concede at all, the first goal was a fantastic strike, you can't say much about that finish, I have top give [Mateo Kovacic] credit for it.
"We had to dig deep, especially in the second half they had possession. [Edouard] Mendy had a fantastic game, too. It was an intense game for both sides and I think maybe a draw is the right result."
On Mohamed Salah, he added: "Fantastic footballer, we will miss him now obviously, but we wish him well in the Africa Cup of Nations, same to Sadio Mane and Naby Keita.
"Nothing is impossible, it's a big gap. It's football, anything can happen. There's no point giving up."
