Inter Milan vice-president Javier Zanetti says management is delighted with the progress of the team under coach Simone Inzaghi.
After major summer changes, Inter are top of the table and favourites to successfully defend their Scudetto title.
Zanetti said, “The team plays great football and it's the coach and lads who deserve credit for that. The team feels it is strong and has a remarkable mentality.
“The players know they have to defend the title that they earned last season. Everyone feels involved and that is important for a side with big objectives like ours.
“We want to defend the title and we are showing it game after game. Milan, Napoli and Atalanta are close by and I think it'll be like that to the end of the season."
