Kota Kinabalu: A young popular YouTuber has bought and converted a bus into a motorhome that will help her during her travels to make content for her video channel, it has been reported.
Nur Amira Syahira Azizul Abidin, 19, whose YouTube channel has 2.68 million followers, bought a 23-seater bus at an auction in January last year and spent thousands of ringgit to modify it.
It now has a bedroom, bathroom and dining area, reported the NST.
Nur Amira said she no longer stays at hotels during her travels.
"I am always on the move looking for things to upload on my Facebook and YouTube channel. Before having the motorhome, I had to rent a room at hotels or boarding houses which can be costly," the NST reported her as saying.
"This was the reason I decided to buy the bus after floating the idea to my family. I engaged a consultant to ensure that the modifications comply with the law."
"But, the ideas of the layout and the facilities came from me to ensure that they are aesthetically pleasing, look tidy and provide comfort just like living in a house."
Nur Amira said engine upgrades and interior improvements are in the pipeline for the motorhome, which has taken her and her family to Port Dickson, Cameron Highland and Penang.
