Kota Kinabalu: Sabah's Covid-19 spokesman Datuk Masidi Manjun has warned that more student Covid-19 clusters could emerge after six such clusters were detected in the past two weeks in the state.
Masidi in a short statement today said he had received a report from the health department on close contact tracing among students at the six boarding schools.
“The initial report by the department indicates the possibility of more clusters involving learning institutions,” he said, adding the outcome of the tests will be known in a day or two.
Sabah registered its sixth school cluster yesterday at SMK Balung in Tawau.
