Ahead of today's clash with Aston Villa, Everton caretaker manager Duncan Ferguson put money behind the bar of a pub close to Goodison Park.
The Winslow Hotel is opposite the stadium and posted on Twitter on Saturday morning that Ferguson had made the gesture.
"Massive big thanks to the legend that is Duncan Ferguson for buying all our customers their first drink this morning," the pub said.
"Amazing generous gesture, that's a measure of the man. COYB."
Ferguson's first game was against Aston Villa in the Saturday lunchtime kickoff.
