Everton boss Rafa Benitez has explained three at the back for defeat to Brighton.
However, Benitez insists the formation wasn't the problem last week.
"Chelsea are at the top of the table or at the bottom of the table?" Benitez asked.
"They play three at the back all the time. Tottenham play three at the back. It is not just the system, it is what you do, and we didn't do well. We are clear that we didn't do well from the first minute, we made mistakes and created our own problems. That is what we have to correct, it is not just the system.
"It is not just the position of one player. I was really pleased with the contribution of Dominic [Calvert-Lewin], because he was not [fully] fit, you could see he could be a threat. Anthony [Gordon] and Demarai [Gray] did well but we didn't do well in defence, because we made mistakes."
