Chelsea great Gianfranco Zola says manager Thomas Tuchel has handled the Romelu Lukaku controversy well.
Tuchel dropped Lukaku for the draw with Liverpool on Sunday after a critical interview on Italian television. The striker has since apologised.
Zola told La Stampa: "Maybe he could've held back and understood Londoner fans, who did not take it well.
"He makes up for the fact that Lukaku is a quiet guy, he has the benefit of good intentions. He wanted to make amends with the Inter fans and angered those of Chelsea.
"However, Tuchel handled the affair well."
