Newcastle United are interested in signing Stade Reims striker Hugo Ekitike.
The 19-year-old has scored eight goals in 17 Ligue 1 appearances this season and is wanted by Newcastle, says Sky Sports.
He only made his senior debut for Reims in August.
He is a France U20 international and also has experience playing on the left wing.
Newcastle want a new striker in before the weekend.
The club could even sign two new strikers before the end of the January window.
