Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s future is on Industrial Tree Plantation (ITP) to take it beyond the adversities of the Covid-19 pandemic and revive opportunities, investment and jobs in the State’s timber industry.
Datuk Jema Khan, Chairman of Jawala Inc, an ITP-focused forest resource company, said there is a pressing need to leverage on ITP initiatives as a revenue source to revive the State’s economy, especially with timber productions being slashed by half during the pandemic.
