Barcelona president Joan Laporta has welcomed Ferran Torres' registration.
With the departure of Philippe Coutinho for Aston Villa and Samuel Umtiti's new pay-cut, Barca were able to get Torres' salary under the LaLiga wage cap.
Ahead of tonight's Supercopa de Espana semifinal against Real Madrid, Laporta said: “We have recovered injured players. We will be able to count on players that we could not use and the coach will finally be able to choose.
"We were able to sign Ferran Torres, which gives us a more competitive team. Recovered players will also be important.
"We come with the morale of victory and the desire to win the Supercopa. These are very pleasant matches to play and it must be wonderful to win them, we have done it several times."
