Brentford have sounded out Philadelphia Union for wing-back Kai Wagner.
The 24-year-old German has been attracting interest from a number of English clubs with Watford, Fulham and West Ham among those who have monitored his progress in the MLS, says the Daily Mail.
Brentford allowed Dominic Thompson to join Ipswich Town on loan this week to leave themselves short of cover in that position.
It points to their efforts to bring in a new defender and Wagner, who was selected for the 2021 MLS All-Stars back in August, is one of the names on their list.
Sporting Braga's Francisco Moura, 22, was another who has been discussed.
