Antonio Sabato insists Inter Milan's board should not be blamed for the sale of Romelu Lukaku to Chelsea in August.
Indeed, the former Inter midfielder says they should consider re-signing the Belgian should he become available.
Sabato told TMW: “I don't agree with that position, the club had to balance themselves financially and the right players to sell in order to make money were he and (Achraf) Hakimi.
“Inter settled the balance sheet and got back on their feet. How can you blame them? Would people rather they had sold 6-7 players?
“We would not be in the situation we're in now," he argued. “I would definitely bring him back immediately, even though this looks to be difficult financially."
