Kota Kinabalu: Sabah's Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said 17.4 per cent of 258 new Covid-19 cases in Sabah today involved unvaccinated youngsters.
Masidi also noted that around 70 per cent of new cases per day involved those completely vaccinated, citing a 97-case increase from Monday's 161 new patients.
It indicated that many believed they were resistant to infections, according to him.
"Not only is this notion incorrect, but they are also unaware that they can infect their children at home who are not yet eligible for vaccination," he added in a statement tonight.
"Keep in mind that parents can be viral carriers and infect their offspring at a young age."
