GUA MUSANG – Police confirmed the disappearance of a 13-year-old boy from Kg Pasir Linggi, Pos Lebir, near here, today after the incident went viral on social media.
Gua Musang district police chief Sik Choon Foo said the boy’s mother lodged a missing person report at 7pm after realising that he had not returned home since yesterday.
“The victim is believed to have left the house at 9pm yesterday. After she realised that he had not come home at 3am today, she went out with her family to look for him around the village.
“We received a report on his disappearance tonight and a search-and-rescue operation will be mounted tomorrow at 8am,” he said today.
Sik said the 2km radius search would involve other agencies, namely the Fire and Rescue Department and Civil Defence Force, and be assisted by the villagers. – Bernama, January 11, 2022
