Manchester United are making a serious pitch to Chelsea defender Toni Rudiger.
Off contract in June, Rudiger has put off talks with Chelsea over a new deal in order to listen to offers from across Europe.
While Bayern Munich, PSG, Real Madrid and Barcelona have all been in contact, none of their offers have come close to what the Germany international is demanding.
However, the Athletic says United have now come forward and are prepared to table a "huge offer" to Rudiger to keep him in the Premier League.
Unlike their foreign rivals, United cannot secure Rudiger to a pre-contract, but can count on a verbal commitment should the player be convinced.
