Kota Kinabalu: Exploration of oil and gas in Sabah and Sarawak waters should begin next year following the establishment of Sabah’s wholly-owned oil and gas company known as SMJ Petroleum Sdn Bhd.
United Sabah Entrepreneurs Chamber of Commerce and Industry (USECCI) President Abdul Raja bin Hai Abdul Mohammad said the Federal Government should cooperate by agreeing to distribute platform sites that have been given to Petronas to SMJ Petroleum Sdn Bhd for the future use of Sabah which manages its own affairs.
