Villarreal coach Unai Emery admits their clash with Atletico Madrid is a huge test.
Villarreal will meet Atletico on Sunday.
Emery said: "We're going into the game hoping to be consistent in LaLiga. It would be taking a step forward. It's a massive challenge because we're playing against the LaLiga champions.
“We've got points back on our opposition and now Atlético are four ahead of us, an important distant. We need to continue fighting in the right direction, but there's a lot of the league season left, and we're going to try and be full of confident. We are going to see what we're capable of doing against such a dangerous team as Atlético."
The Basque manager also had a message for the fans: “It's a match that motivates us. We can't wait to play it and it's also a challenge for the fans. I want to feel that we're strong alongside our fans."
