A former mentor of Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba hopes to see him back in France.

Off contract in June, Pogba is being linked with PSG.

Mamadou Magassa, a former coach and teacher of Pogba in Roissy-en-Brie, told Le Parisien: "Recovering a great Ile-de-France player would be a great showcase for PSG and a great marketing move.

"A midfield made up of (Marco) Verratti, (Idrissa) Gueye and Pogba would look great.

"The choice of Paul will be based on a sporting criterion. He will opt for the team with which he has the best chance of winning the Champions League. This has been his goal for a long time."
