Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick has confirmed Newcastle are in contact for Jesse Lingard.
Newcastle have made two offers to take the England international on-loan this month.
Rangnick said on Friday: "When it comes to Jesse, it is the same as with a lot of other players. He is a really good player, you can see that in every training session.
"For me, it is normal that other clubs, such as Newcastle, have shown interest in him. But it's not me who handles it,.
"I know that there may be interest from some other clubs, but if you ask me now what will happen in the next ten days, I can not answer that question, unfortunately."
