Chelsea will hit Romelu Lukaku with a massive fine for last week's controversial interview.

La Repubblica reports Chelsea will make an example of Romelu Lukaku by fining him £420,000 for his explosive comments last week.

In an interview with Sky Italia, Lukaku said that he was already eyeing a return to Inter Milan and admitted that he was unhappy at Chelsea.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel admitted that he was furious with the 'noise' surrounding Lukaku's comments and left him out of their draw with Liverpool on Sunday.

Talks took place between Tuchel and Lukaku yesterday and it has since been reported that the Belgian will NOT leave the club in January.

But his future at Stamford Bridge remains uncertain, and it is believed his teammates were left unimpressed with his outburst.
